The caption on the front of this dream Sports Illustrated reads all there is to know, “WATCH OUT, WORLD! THIS COULD BE AMERICA’S 1992 OLYMPIC FIVE.” You can say they were on to something. Any time an individual or team can be recognized by the Hall of Fame, it’s a special honor. The cover of this SI (Feb. 18, 1991) was signed by all five of the Dream Teamers shown on the cover in blue felt tip (“9”) including Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Magic Johnson, Karl Malone, and Charles Barkley. It is the more rare news stand edition.
